Graphic Design: Designs for NC State University, Bowman Consulting, and Cobbler LLC (my small business)
Above: I created a tee shirt design for the 2024 NC State Summer Sessions contest. My design is of Lake Raleigh. In my design, students enjoy sailing on Lake Raleigh with summer-y refreshments and floats. The tree-filled Raleigh skyline is the background. My design embodies a Raleigh summer of studying, living, and playing in the capital city.
Above is the original Prismacolor pencil sketch of my design. I created this drawing prior to producing the digital rendering.
I designed a wellness-themed graphic for NC State University products. The university also featured my design in digital and print mediums. The university's objective was to create three icons that present art and wellness, while including the words Find Resilience and the website go.ncsu.edu/arts. I produced icons of a music note, succulent, and paint palette.
At first, the university's objective was to create a graphic with the words Action Resilience Thrive as an ART acronym. Below are my designs for the original objective. This design has three succulents, each varying in shape.
I designed an icon for the Spanish department at NC State. The Art Director requested a colorful wolf with designs that reference Mexican folk art. I studied various Mexican folk art pieces while preparing to create the design.
Prior to the final design, I created a wolf with NC State's brand colors. Then, the art director requested for the wolf to have bright colors (non-brand colors) and a decorative, folk art pattern. I maintained the movement of the stripes by placing the floral elements to show movement through the wolf's body.
I designed a digital marketing flyer for Bowman Consulting (an engineering firm in Raleigh, NC). Bowman's objective was to produce a design that included specific information about the Remote Sensing - Utilities Group, in the form of an on-brand design that potential clients can readily comprehend.
Cobbler logo
Cobbler is named for my Georgia origins (peach cobbler) and for the artisan heritage of creating products by hand (cobbler, or maker).
My small business began as Card Cobbler (handmade greeting cards) before growing to include design services. The orange stripe and green stripe originally represented two C's (Card Cobbler). Now, these stripes serve as a unified C for Cobbler LLC.
The peach in the center is for the sweetness of a Georgia peach and the celebration of a handmade heritage.
Here are some of the passes I created as part of the Cobbler logo's development process.
